Thunder defeat Suns despite SGA not being in game

The Phoenix Suns' 128-103 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday showed their job ahead in the coming weeks.

Phoenix (43-31) has struggled this year.

Not its talent, but how it plays together and functions.

The Thunder, fourth in offensive rating and sixth in defensive rating, missed MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (right quad contusion) for the third game this season.

The divide between the two camps, however, was clear to see.

Unlike the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City's activity and engagement levels were high during Wednesday's victory over the Suns.

It illustrated how this Suns squad would fare against a top-three Western Conference seed in a playoff series, if they make it that far.

It has many disadvantages.

A coffee ‘never’ drinker, Sydney Sweeney can function on 2 hours of sleep.
