Eagles trade Haason Reddick to Jets for conditional 2026 third-round selection

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport said that New York is getting Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Haason Reddick.

Depending on his playtime and sacks, the Jets may trade a 2026 third-round pick for Reddick, Rapoport said.

NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reports that New York will pay Reddick $14.5 million in 2024, the final year of his deal, while the Eagles pay his $1 million roster bonus from March.

Call it an edge-rushing talent swap.

The Eagles and Jets have agreed to send Reddick to New York, where the Jets are all in on 2024, weeks after pass-rushing specialist Bryce Huff left for a three-year, $51.1 million deal.

The Eagles have debated Reddick's pay since early February, when they allowed him to seek a trade.

Veteran coach Vic Fangio will replace Sean Desai, who was sacked after a disastrous 2023 season, as the Eagles' defensive coordinator in 2024.

These circumstances led the Eagles to shop Reddick, and they found a partner on Friday.
