Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy Teases Possible Free Agency Signing

The Dallas Cowboys have had a relatively quiet offseason, but additional free agent signings could be on the way.

According to head coach Mike McCarthy's statements, the timeline does not currently allow for any additional free agency additions.

McCarthy discussed the team's approach during a conversation with ESPN reporter Adam Schefter on March 25. The coach remarked that he is confident in his current roster.

However, McCarthy also stated that Dallas is not in the market "right now," but that there is still plenty of time for prospective additions.

"I'm a big believer in the second to third-year jump, you know we have some young players, we got some guys coming back off of IR that are young players that we're excited about,

so we are definitely improving," McCarthy told the media. "We currently do not participate in the free agent market... There's still a lot remaining.

You'll probably have a market either before or after the draft, followed by your June 1 market, and presumably another draft class."McCarthy's words clearly lack specificity and concreteness.

Cowboys fans who are still waiting for free agent signings can at least hope that the team will make moves later in 2024.
